The second Catz Chats event took place on Friday 24 July 2020 between Stefan Marciniak教授 (Professor of Respiratory Science; MB/PhD programme director) and 尼克·莫雷尔教授 (Professor of Cardiopulmonary Medicine; Director of the Cambridge Heart and Lung Research Institute). On Friday 18 September 2020 we were joined by Professor Sir Chris Clark (Regius Professor of History at the 剑桥大学 and Ostrer Professorial Fellow in History at St Catharine’s) and 尼加拉格尔博士 (Lecturer in Modern British and Irish History at the 剑桥大学 and Postgraduate Tutor at St Catharine’s). The conversation was wide ranging with Professor Sir Chris Clark talking about his publication The Sleepwalkers: How Europe Went to War in 1914, 在国际上广受好评, whilst Dr Niamh Gallgher discussed her first book Ireland and the Great War: 《正规的外围app》 (布卢姆斯伯里出版社,2019). This work is a revisionist history of the Irish in the First World War and is the first work of Irish history to win the Royal Historical Society's 2020 Whitfield Prize 自1976年成立以来.

On Friday 30 October 2020 we were joined by Fellows, 布朗勋爵(平民同僚, 2019), Professor William Sutherland (Environment Fellow, 2008 and Miriam Rothschild Professor of Conservation Biology) and Dr David Aldridge (Dawson College Lecturer in Biological Natural Sciences, 1997) who discussed the Biosecurity Research Initiative at St Catharine's.

On Friday 7 May 2021 we were joined by Emeritus Fellow and Professor of Economic Geography Professor Ron Martin; Sir Harvey McGrath College Lecturer in Geography and Admissions Tutor, Dr Ivan Scales and Cousens Fellow and University Reader in Geography, Dr Ian Willis to discuss 在十大外围app学习地理 and the importance of this subject today, as well as cutting edge research topics including:

  • Climate change in the Arctic and Antarctic 
  • Human geography and biodiversity conservation
  • The growth of geographical economic inequalities and what to do about them
